That something exists; that things are what they are, independent of man’s consciousness; that x is x;

That man, through perception, identification, and integration of the data provided by his senses, can know the facts of reality, and that this knowledge must constitute the basis for his value judgements; that reason is man’s only guide to knowledge and action;

That man is not a means to the ends of others and that he must live for his own sake, neither sacrificing himself to others nor sacrificing others to himself;

That every man possesses the basic inalienable right to his own life, liberty, and property;

That no individual (or group of individuals) can seek value from a man by the initiation (or threat of initiation) of physical force without violating his basic inalienable right;

That the only socioeconomic system consistent with these principles is laissez-faire capitalism;

That the ideologies of coercive collectivism and altruism pose a basic threat to the existence of man and of just societies;

And that moral men and moral societies are obliged to act in their own self defense against those who seek coercively to control, direct, and enslave them.
